I have been doing some wedding freelance work. Surprising the amount of gigs I received winterwise.
Trying to keep immersed of recent in art since my graduation of Longwood University. As I apply to some Graduate school, I have been researching and practicing alternative process and digital experiments.
I was constructing a project of doing still lifes of decayed fruit and dead flowers and then print them alternatively perhaps a kallitype of something thing perhaps with a eating away feel to juxtapose the fruit.
Digitally I was playing around with photoshop techniques and constructing images from a none existent photo. Rather a collage take on photoshop but playing with the premise of 3d objects.
Then just recently I found myself high excited with Irving Penn’s Portraiture. Which has lead me to brush up on standard lighting technique and try some more traditional (none constructed) portraiture. But that’s what I like so much with Irving; his dynamic and expressive portraiture done by simple means. Richard Avedon Similarly effects me this way but Irving meets me with his fashion influence an less strict style of perspective and framing than that of Avedon.
Some creation of worlds in photoshop.
Just playing around with a collage of different works.
Some Wedding gig Photos.
